Privacy Policy

The Short Version

We collect what we need to make the app work. We don't sell your data. We don't share it with advertisers. The information you log about your team stays in your account, visible only to you and the coaches you invite.

What We Collect

• Account info: email, password (hashed), display name.
• Team info you create: team name, sport, age tier, players, jersey numbers, positions, and a team logo if you upload one.
• Player photos (optional): if you choose to add a player photo, we store it with that player's profile. Photos are never required.
• Parent/guardian email (optional): if you add one to a player, we use it only to send reports you choose to send. We don't email parents otherwise.
• Practice and game data: reps, at-bats, pitch counts, drill logs, scores.
• Billing info: handled entirely by Stripe — we never see your card number, only the customer ID Stripe gives us.
• Basic technical data: server logs (IP, request path, timestamp) for debugging and abuse prevention.

Where It's Stored

Your data lives in Supabase (PostgreSQL, US-based). The app runs on Vercel. Authentication is handled by Supabase Auth. Payments are handled by Stripe.

Some AI features (game summaries, season reports, and similar write-ups) are generated by Anthropic's API. To produce these, we send the relevant stats along with player names and jersey numbers so the summary can credit performances. Anthropic processes this data to return the result and, per its API terms, does not use it to train its models. Our other AI features (ratings, trends, and rule-based insights) run on our own servers and don't send anything to Anthropic.

Children's Privacy (COPPA)

CoachCommand is built for the adults who run youth sports — coaches and parents. Children never create accounts and never log in. All player information is entered by an adult.

Because players may be under 13, the U.S. Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) applies to the information you record about them. When you add a player, you confirm that you are the child's parent or guardian, or that you have the parent/guardian's permission to record that child's information for coaching purposes.

For a player we may store: name, jersey number, position, performance stats, and — only if you add them — a photo and a parent/guardian email. We do not collect a child's home address, Social Security number, school records, or precise location.

A parent or guardian can ask us to review, correct, or delete their child's information at any time by emailing coach@coachcommandapp.com. We honor verified deletion requests within 30 days. If you believe a child's information was added without proper authority, email us and we'll remove it.

What We Don't Do

• We don't sell your data to anyone.
• We don't use your data to train AI models for third parties.
• We don't run third-party advertising trackers.
• We don't share player information with leagues, scouts, or recruiters without your explicit action.

Your Rights

You can export or delete your data anytime by emailing coach@coachcommandapp.com. Account deletion removes your org, teams, players, and all logged data within 30 days. Stripe keeps payment records as required by law.

Cookies

We use a session token to keep you signed in. We don't run analytics cookies, advertising cookies, or fingerprinting. The PWA install banner uses local browser storage to remember if you've dismissed it.

Changes

If we materially change how we handle data, we'll update the "Effective" date and notify you by email.
